I am fed up with chasing all those bright shiny objects!

You know the ones I mean…

Those special offers and those free webinars that promise the Earth and deliver a sand castle!!!

I’m more fed up with my own self, because I know what I’m like with being distracted and going down “white rabbit holes!” only to end up right where I started. Recognising that I’m already enough.

I preach to my clients all the time that where they are and with what they know, is good enough. They are enough! They can do what they love right now. Just start and find someone to hold your hand while you share your talents and practice being the best version of yourself, right now.

20150901_065646So what I’ve decided to do is to reframe my experiences of the last 6 months of being a “puppy in the woods”, into something positive.

Treat my adventure as if it were a market research campaign and look at what I’ve learn about marketing and sales. I now know who is most interested in the of things that are being offered – what pain points there are for my target audience and where they are likely to hang out.

For example –

I know what business owners are looking for by the type of questions they are asking in the experts  sales pages. I can see where the pain points are. I can see where the concerns of my prospective clients show up and I know that I have effective solutions that are unique to me, that I can offer.

Where I can make a real difference with what I offer is  – ME! They are not me! I bring my years of experience, my challenges and my triumphs that I’ve had on my life journey and I’ve learnt the lessons that I bring to my clients as solutions to the pain.

And the great thing is, my Business Lover – so have you! You have had your journey too! You are unique too. You have special unique gifts that you can bring to the table and make your change in the world.

If you are creative in any way you are more likely than anyone to be distracted easily. Especially with your own creative mind, let alone any other distractions. That’s not a bad thing, we need the creators, however you are most likely flying without a flight plan. Meaning you don’t have a clear goal or destination and you have no plan. So anything that comes up, out of the blue, you are more likely to take a look. Which is what was happening to me.

I had too many options with too many talents, skills and ideas – I just couldn’t figure out which to use. Until I decided to do what I love rather than what would make most money. Icky!

So, the first thing for you to do is, make a decision as to where you want to get to and by when.

Then set out a vague plan for the next 3 quarters – it doesn’t have to be perfect.  Then break down the the first month into weeks and so forth.

Now just one thing to bear in mind – Start your plan do not worry that you may have to change it as it firms up. It’s not fixed in stone. Remember it’s your plan and you can tweak it any way you want, as long as it’s not causing any harm and your team knows what is going on.

Next –  find someone who will hold you accountable to keep you on track. (I’ve joined a mastermind group – fabulously intense!) You can choose to have a life or business coach, a mentor, or accountability buddy. Or work with me!

20150901_065718With your plan in place it will be much easier to get back on track if you stray and less likely to stray in the first place.

November Is the perfect time to review the past year and start planning out for next year so you can hit the ground running after the festivities.

Right now, since I’ve started planning and acting on my plan, things are moving quickly in the right direction. We have some fabulous events coming up in the New Year so look out for the announcements soon.
