AUDACIOUS GOALS CAUSE TRANSFORMATION
Hey gorgeous!
I am sitting on a rock!
I feel the sand under my feet.
I hear the waves crashing against the rocks along the shore.
I smell the fishy sea air.
I look to my left and I see the palm trees waving in the soft breeze, bringing cool onto my skin, soothing me from the 87 degree sunshine.
I’m pondering on how on Earth have I manifested this reality that was in my dream, in my mind.
I believe it’s because my dream was so audacious that I had to become someone else to make it be my realty.
I am the kind of person who cannot cope with piddley, easy goals. I just put them off until they are no longer on my to-do list. Then I make myself feel bad for not achieving something so simple, whatever it was.
Give me the mad, apparently impossible goal and I’m on it like a rash on a baby’s butt. (Sorry!) I become obsessed!
It gets me out of bed in the morning and keeps me up late at night working on it. Doing due diligence, research, making connections, putting things into action and whatever it takes to get there. Even if it’s halfway to my destination I would have at least got off my butt!
During those times, I have noticed that I somehow change along the way. I become unrecognisable to myself.
In the past this realisation did stop me in my tracks.
I was afraid of who I would become.
Would I become the bossy arrogant one? Or the selfish, self-cantered one – or the one who uses her new powerful self to manipulate? I didn’t want anyone to dislike me. I had huge “people pleasing” and “seeking approval” embodiment, developed from my childhood (as one does) – So backed off!
It wasn’t until I got into personal development that I learnt how manifestation and transforming my life worked on a deep, subconscious level.
I began to test the methodologies by setting more and more outrageous, audacious goals, until I overcame the fear of being ridiculed about them.
If they didn’t work out, then I would have a good laugh about it.
If it did, then I would be in awe of myself and so would everyone who doubted me.
By this time I would not have been doing it for other people’s approval anyway.
Over time I came to realise that until you become the person who embodies, feels and acts your audacious goal you cannot have it. You also have the power to master and mould the character and identity of the one that you are becoming.
I also realise that the authentic you, the real you, has always been there, you are just remembering, not creating something or someone new.
So there is nothing to fear! You already know who you are!
With everything this world piles on top of you as you grow up, you grow into a cage of not knowing your true self-power, not knowing that you are the sovereign creator of your reality.
You are diamond created from the pressurised, crushed coal of life. It’s about polishing up and letting the real you shine.
It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey of growth along the way.
Audacious goals demand that you acquire new standards, positive new habits, more solid discipline. If you are not used to being like this it will be a little uncomfortable. So the trick is to get comfortable at being uncomfortable!
Don’t wish it was easier – wish you were better.
Don’t wish for less problems – wish for more skills.
Don’t wish for less challenge – wish for more wisdom
― Jim Rohn
Here is an insight into my lived experience of achieving my audacious goals
First I decide what I want. I make it really juicy, audacious and nigh on impossible in the current circumstance!
Then I live it in my imagination. I see it as if it’s already done.
I feel it my body – it’s scary because I have never been this person before
This brave! This confident! This audacious!
(Really??? – Have you ever observed a baby or a young child – and how confident they are in demanding to be fed or trying new things? You and I were once like that.)
Yes I have been this person before. I remember the confidence, I remember the audacity – I also remember being shut down and stopped for my own safety and my own good. Can you relate?
Then I – DECIDE TO COMMIT – I commit my very being to doing whatever it takes that feels right and in integrity, to reach my desired outcome.
As I navigate through what it takes to have my big juicy dream goal, my world starts to look as if it’s crumbling. Mishaps happen. Delays and diversions occur. Ideas fail. Incidents happen out of the blue that appear to be huge mistakes.
I get to feel stupid!
I get to feel exhausted!
I get to feel discombobulated (I love that word because sounds like how it feels)
With each of these states of being I had to push through, stretch and grow into my new identity.
I had to hang in there and practice using new mental muscles, create new empowering habits to be the one who now has her home in Costa Rica! – Living a life that lights me up every single day, despite the difficult terrain.
Instead of feeling stupid – I now get to feel wise. I share this wisdom with my people who want healing from trauma, negative self-talk, unconscious harmful habits and patterns that hold them back from their desired reality.
Instead of feeling exhausted – I now get to have access to healthy foods, walks in the jungle and seeing the restful sunsets over the sea in my back yard here in Costa Rica! I sleep when I need to – and still get to be of great service to my clients, my family and my friends.
Instead of discombobulating – With a calm nervous system anchored in safety, I get to practice being organised, with diamond clarity about my audacious goals and revel in my sovereignty.
I am that woman!
That transformation is complete! Now for my next audacious goal….
Who will I become this time?
I can’t wait to meet her!
See you soon!
