NO ONE TOLD ME IT WOULD BE THIS HARD!

Please bear with me, I’m going to have a moan (Smile)
Now since moving here to Costa Rica last September 2024, I am not entitled to earn money actually in the country. Instead, can earn my money by being a “Digital Nomad” – meaning I have to earn money via the internet.
Not a problem, or so I thought!
I am used to working with my coaching clients via the internet, all over the world. New York, LA, San Diego, Germany, Sydney and of course from around the UK.
I manly gain my clients from referrals (useful if they are abroad) and from face to face networking events that I used to attend or run my own monthly live events.
Now there was I, thinking that I could create an evergreen, online course with 3 – 4 videos and put it on a platform for clients to buy into for self-study.
That would help with the challenge of time differences and easy access to my work – right? That wouldn’t take too long to set up, surely? I’ve taken courses like that for myself and they seem pretty straightforward to put together.
How wrong was I???
It’s taken me 4 solid months to get the whole thing together!
From finding the right platform to host the course.
Then deciding what course to run.
Then learning all the different bells and whistles to create the course.
Then scripting and filming the videos, with the right background and microphone etc.
Then editing them – ha!
Then uploading them during a local area blackout!
Then making sure the worksheets and the videos aligned and not only made sense but would give the client the right directions and guidance to get the desired outcomes and shifts that they would be seeking. Phew!!
AND THEN!!!…
Set up the payment portal and link it all together with the course platform.
Create the waitlist for the next programme if they want to take it further (Which I happen to mention in the videos – so I have to provide it).
Plus, create the landing page for the waitlist.
Plus, write all the marketing emails for the course launch.
Then schedule them.
Plus, write all the post purchase emails to notify the client and encourage them to keep going and share their reflections in the private Facebook group!
Then checking that the whole process works!
Now PHEW!!!
Next time I have any bright ideas please stop be before I go down another long rabbit hole –hahaha!
So my dear one, the mini course will soon be ready for promotion and hopefully you can help me to do just that, after all my efforts. (Big cheesy smile)
The lessons learnt here for me are –
At the end of the day I learnt so much along the way and I’ve put it all to good use. So when I do the next one it won’t be so hard or take so long. Haha!
Practice makes perfect, as they say!
What I learnt about myself though, is very much more valuable.
Once I made the decision to commit, I had to hold on to my Big Why? (I teach this principle in my mini course)
Which, is to be of great service to my clients, my soul conscious entrepreneurs who want to reignite their visions, do what they love for the world and have their heart’s desires. By providing easy access to great tools and techniques in this course, for helping them live a life that lights them up with passion, purpose and pleasure (never forget the pleasure!)
I learnt to take every stage and challenge with grace and as a gift.
Every new surprising process that I had to go through I did with patience and calm. I used my tools on myself – EFT tapping and breathwork to calm my nervous system because I knew that any bad energy would come over in the videos and my writing, if I did not take care.
I hired help, which is so unlike me. I am the classic martyr to myself. Because I am multi-talented I think I should be able to do it all myself, which has worked against me in the past, ending up with burnout and poor results.

I prayed and meditated for the right help to come my way and that everything would turn out right, in Divine timing. Which came in the form of the lovely Zoe Douthwaite, my business support mentor from BBS, the membership I belong to.
She is a star at keeping me on track (because even coaches need coaches!) and helping with the Kajabi platform, and giving ideas on how to make everything flow, saving me so much time and headache. Thank you Zoe!
I bet you never knew it takes us so much effort to produce programmes and courses for your betterment and pleasure?
It’s like a beautifully decorated home – no one ever sees how much work goes into the preparation and ground work to produce the awesome end results, unless there are photos or footage! Evidence!
